WHO ARE WE?

Hamphire Road Club welcomes new members of all abilities whether you are looking for a gentle ride with like minded individuals through to participating in an active schedule of competitive events. Individuals, familes or groups are all welcome. Each new member receives an HRC handbook.

The Hampshire Road Club was formed in 25th February 1928 by K. Jones

Club Rides

We hold two Club rides each week on a Sunday, a faster paced ride for the more energetic riders and a second ride for those who like their rides with a coffee and cake!

The rides are open to all, members and non members, and the second ride will always be female led. New riders are especially welcome to join us.

Unless otherwise arranged the rides start from Havant Leisure Centre at 08:30 on a Sunday morning so keep your eyes on the website, HRC Facebook page and club emails for details. Feel free to get in contact with us and join in!

Social Events

We hold our evening Club 10 mile Time trials on Tuesday evenings based at West Stoke Village Hall, come along and say hello from around 6pm.

The members also meet at the Roman Fishbourne Palace on Wednesdays at 11am, generally for gossip on how everyone was faster last year and how buying the latest kit doesn’t make you faster.

Hampshire Road Club

We are active club within the local area promoting two Open Time Trials each year, a 10 mile and 50 mile event, along with a series of evening Club Time Trials. Held on a Tuesday evening these are mainly 10 mile events with a couple of longer races on our Hampshire Hilly course.

Our members regularly ride on the local and national time trial scene, from local Open events organised by other clubs in the South DC to National Championships run under the auspices of the CTT.

We compete in the local Portsdown Time Trial League as well as regular yearly competitions such as the Clonmore Trophy and the occasional trip abroad to the Duo Normand.

Whether you enjoy riding a bike for fun or like riding a bike fast feel free to get in touch with us.
