25h June 2024 – P841r – 2up Results

Summer is here!! A warm (!) welcome for our 12 competitors who turned up for our hottest contest of the season so far. An extra warm welcome to the 2 come & try riders dipping their wheels in the TT scene (again). That there happened to be another competition on TV may have deterred some, but certainly encouraged others as the roads were definitely quieter than they have been. It was 2up night, however, 8 riders clearly have no one suitable to ride with who was available as they rode solo.

As for the conditions – it was a quick night, the warm weather wasn’t so hot that power was lost due to overheating, but warm enough that warm up was easy. As said, the roads were relatively quiet too. The faster course was in use due to the traffic lights in Lavant and that certainly helped the times.

Refreshments after the event were very welcome as always and gave us a chance to chat about how our ride went and how we can improve next week.

Congratulations to the winners Andrew & Andy on the 2up and James on the solo. Many thanks go to the organisers, time keepers, sign man and of course the catering crew without whom there would be no event to write up.
