Well, the threat of rain turned out to be just that, a threat. We had a few drops as we waited to start, but other than that the rain held off. It was a welcome return (for some) of the westerly winds, a few course PBs show that those riders prefer the assistance on the way out and it seems to have less impact on the return leg. The roundabout was damp which slowed the turn considerably, nobody quite sure when the grip ended. Well done Shaun for taking the win, bit of a tight gap! Welcome to the new riders, especially the younger ones.
Thanks to the timekeepers, marshals, organisers and most importantly, the caterers without whom we wouldn’t be racing (especially without the tea & cake afterwards!)
