A good number of riders turned out for the penultimate time trial of the season. Another dry evening, good crosswind from behind on the way out giving riders a bit of a boost.
P841r is a relatively new course and as such, the course record was young, set by Ollie Boarer on the 20th June 2023 with a time of 20min 38sec. Others have had a good bash at it, but not quite made it. Tonight, Joe Parker (RCR) tried to best his previous course record set on the 2nd May 23 (20’45”) and succeeded – setting a new course record of 20 minutes 35 seconds averaging over 29 miles an hour.
Well done Joe for setting a new bar for riders to come and beat. For those of us who are not in that league, we can still set our own PBs and get our own CRs.
Thanks to all the helpers, time keepers and other officials. Don’t forget the LAST TIME TRIAL of the season is next week.
